Ibrahima Yattara (born June 3, 1980 in Kamsar), is a Guinean footballer playing for Al-Shabab. On 29 October 2010, he became a Turkish citizen as İbrahim Üçüncü.[3]
Career
Yattara began his career in his native Guinea with the team San Garedi. He moved on to Athlético de Coléah, another Guinean club before embarking on his career in Europe. He joined Antwerp FC in Belgium in 2000 and was used primarily on the right side of midfield. Yattara joined Trabzonspor in 2003.
He plays international football for Guinea and was part of the Guinea squad for the 2004 and 2006 African Cup of Nations tournaments in Tunisia and Egypt.
Playing style
Spanish coach Luis Aragones once stated that Yattara's playing style is very similar to Ronaldinho.[4] Several big European clubs also wanted to sign him when he was playing for Trabzonspor. In May 2008, AS Roma wanted to sign him and it is said that both Roma and Yattara agreed terms. However, when Trabzonspor wanted Francesco Totti as an exchange from Roma, the deal fell through.[5][6] On January 29, 2009, it was reported that Real Madrid were interested in signing Yattara, but they later decided against signing him, saying he wasn't good enough.
